The term self-care can trigger reactions from ‘oh I love getting that time to myself’ to the frantic ‘there are people who have time for that?!’ If you have some trouble with taking the time to take care of you, here are some bullet journal self-care spreads to help you out.

In this time of 9 to bedtime and insane work and home expectations, we all need to remember that self-care is essential. It’s essential to our overall emotional and mental health, not just the way we feel physically.
It’s incredibly worth it to take time for yourself and recharge.
And these self care bullet journal spreads will help you do just that. Take a look at these ideas and make sure to add one to your own bujo next month!
Self Care Bullet Journal Spreads
3’s a Charm
Starting off these spreads is a segmented list of things that tend to each part of ourselves. Each of these parts can need attention at different times for different reasons.
Sometimes our minds need stimulation or our bodies can need energy or activity. The last part is our hearts. And the heart wants what it wants. Having a list that’s broken down can make it easier to figure out what you need when you’re feeling a certain way. Then picking an activity off that part of the list is a piece of cake.
It’s also a great preemptive measure since in this list there are lots of things to do daily to make sure we’re feeling our best. I love the plant symbolism on this spread as well.
To make your own, draw out your header, split your page into three columns, one for each body, mind, and heart and list the activities that make you feel rejuvenated in each category when you do them.
Order off the Menu
The next spread is an adorable reminder of all the fun things we can do to treat ourselves.
The simple drawings are great and making it a menu is a stroke of genius! It just makes you want to indulge in some self-care since it makes you feel catered to and like you’re getting a little luxury before you even start.
To make it pick out your favourite self-care activities and make a grid. Either draw, print out or use a sticker to symbolize the activity then when you need a little TLC, flip it open and order off the “menu”.

Remind yourself there is no one like you
Sometimes self-care is really about making sure you understand and appreciate the things about yourself that are special. That’s exactly what Rachel for lovingthyself.net recommends for this next self-care spread.
To make this spread, write “what I love about myself” or “my best qualities” or “what makes me special” on the page and then fill it up with your answers. Fill in white space with hearts, smiley faces or anything else.
Not like you’ll have too much room for that though!
This spread is wonderful for when you’re just having one of those days and need to be reminded of just how great you really are. It’s even more valuable since you wrote it yourself and love from the person that knows us best is so valuable.
Track Water and Sleep
Tracking our physical health is a part of our self-care too! Make sure you’re getting enough sleep and water to be happy and healthy with this tracker below. You can also combine these trackers by having the bar graph added to the same grid as the sleep line graph.
To make this spread: Write the days of the month across the bottom of the page and then your water or sleep allotment up the side. All you’ll need to do is fill in the bar for how much water you drank and add a dot for the amount of sleep you got every day.
Give yourself lots of options
The next spread is a running list of things that can make you feel good. It’s a basic collection that you can start and add to over time as you find those things that really just make you feel good and recharged.
Sometimes the simple is the best. For this spread just title it and write in the things that make you feel great. Add doodles as you choose.
Get it in your schedule
Taking time each week to recharge and do the things that you enjoy will equal out to a happier you more capable of all the awesomeness you expect for yourself.
Everyone needs a little time to relax or have some fun and what those activities are is up to you! If it’s watching your favourite show block off that hour weekly.
Maybe it’s going to get a pedicure, make that appointment. Or it could be spending some quality time with your partner or wee ones. I’m sure you can find a way to make time for that too.
It’s easy to put off the things that are important but not urgent and self-care is definitely one of these. That’s exactly why you need to book that date with yourself though! Leaving it until you’re ready to implode is not a great approach so be proactive and treat yourself as often as you can.
You deserve it
